My Food Philosophy

I have always loved cooking and experimenting with new foods, and if I could create a site that was unique to my tastes, I thought it would be a fun way to spend part of my day. My food philosophy is pretty simple. I eat healthful, vegan meals, trying to incorporate as many whole foods as possible. I think when you cook your own food, and minimize take-out, you can get away with eating pretty much anything in moderation - just steer clear from ingredients you can't pronounce. Although I avoid dairy and eggs, my family does not - which is why you will find numerous non-vegan recipes (still vegetarian) on my site. I do love sweets, and when I do make them, I don't skimp on flavor or fat. I believe if you are going to indulge in the occasional sweet, use the real (organic) stuff - real butter, sugar, eggs, oil (unless you're vegan). Happy Cooking! ...Hayley...
